Making the final adjustments to his attire, Esmond smirked at his reflection in the mirror then made his way down the stairs. He knew that his best friend was waiting for him, the two of them had their usual plans to go out for a couple of drinks. A “boy’s night out”, so to speak.

“Hello, Bevan,” Esmond said as he made his way down the staircase.

Esmond couldn’t help but smirk as his friend quickly looked away from him. He wasn’t stupid, he knew that he was an attractive man and he enjoyed making Bevan feel uncomfortable around him. Bevan, of course, hated this and this was something else that Esmond knew. The Chief Warlock shook his head. Silvanus was “lost in thought” a lot, at least he was when he thought that Esmond wasn’t looking. Summers didn’t know what it was about so he never questioned his friend, but he could guess…
